About Unity for Children
Unity for Children was founded to ask: “Is this the best we could do for a child?” Our mission is to unite communities, professionals, and systems to prioritize children’s safety, healing, and empowerment. We address gaps across legal, social, and health systems to ensure children are not just a priority—they are the priority.
Role Overview
General Volunteers provide support for Unity for Children’s initiatives, including community engagement, events, administrative tasks, and pilot program activities. Volunteers help ensure smooth operations and contribute to building trauma-informed, healing-focused, child-centered systems.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with planning, setup, and execution of events, trainings, and community outreach activities.
Support administrative tasks, such as documentation, research, and communications.
Help with fundraising campaigns, awareness initiatives, or community engagement efforts.
Participate in volunteer meetings, orientations, and training sessions.
Represent Unity for Children with professionalism and integrity.
Provide general support to staff, program teams, and pilot initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the organization’s mission.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
Commitment to the mission of Unity for Children and child-centered advocacy.
Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Flexibility in schedule; some evenings or weekends may be required.
Ability to assist with events, including setup, registration, and logistical support.
Background check required if volunteering in any capacity involving direct contact with children.
Completion of basic training or orientation provided by Unity for Children.
